Centrifugal pump is a kind of pump that uses the centrifugal force generated by the rotation of the impeller to transport liquid. In plain areas, centrifugal pumps with lower lift can be selected. In hilly areas, centrifugal pumps with moderate lift can be selected. In high-altitude areas, multi-stage centrifugal pumps with higher lift can be used. ✦Appearance and structure of Centrifugal Pump

Centrifugal pump is composed of main parts such as pump body, impeller, shaft, sealing device, and bearing housing. The pump body is generally in the shape of a volute, exquisitely designed. The materials are mostly cast iron, stainless steel or high-strength engineering plastics, etc., with good corrosion resistance and mechanical strength. The impeller is installed on the shaft and has various shapes, including closed type, semi-open type and open type. The design of its blades is precisely calculated to efficiently convert mechanical energy into the kinetic energy and pressure energy of the fluid. The shaft is made of high-quality steel to ensure stability and reliability during high-speed rotation. The sealing device adopts forms such as mechanical seal or packing seal to effectively prevent liquid leakage. The bearing housing is equipped with high-quality bearings to provide good support for the rotation of the shaft.

✦Working principle of Centrifugal Pump

Centrifugal pump relies on the centrifugal force generated by the high-speed rotation of the impeller to suck the liquid into the pump from the inlet. After being accelerated and pressurized by the impeller, it is discharged from the outlet. When the motor drives the shaft and impeller to rotate, the liquid at the center of the impeller is thrown to the periphery of the impeller, forming a low-pressure area at the center of the impeller, so that the liquid is continuously sucked into the impeller under the action of external pressure. The liquid obtains energy in the process of flowing through the impeller, and its speed and pressure are both increased. Subsequently, the liquid enters the pump casing and gradually decelerates in the flow channel inside the casing, converting part of the kinetic energy into pressure energy, and finally is discharged from the outlet of the pump at a relatively high pressure.
